The mares and stallions who call this place home have plenty to be envious about. Situated between Superbia's massive plateau and Avaritia's glittering mountain, the low deserts of Invidia seem bland in comparison. Everything is rolling hills of sand, the occasional cactus, sand, lizards and snakes, sand, rocks, and SAND. When rain arrives (if rain arrives), the desert is alive with beautiful flowers, and the scattered oasises are enough to provide sufficient grazing and water for the inhabitants...but the jealous horses don't care. They want the cool water flowing from Superbia's waterfall and the fresh grass along the border of Avaritia, just out of reach.

Two small rivers cut Ira off from the rest of the continent, making the volcano an island. Though considered dormant, the volcano throws off bursts of intense heat at times and waves crash constantly against the rocky shore, lending itself well to the fiery and ferocious temper common in its inhabitants. The ashy soil can sustain lush vegetation, but the heat frequently causes famine and drought, leaving the volcano uninhabited except by the stubborn and powerful herdmembers.

Shadowed by Superbia's plateau and the fringes of Gula's lush forest, Acedia is the perfect place to spend whole months doing absolutely nothing at all...as long as you don't mind the mud. Huge amounts of water runoff have flooded the lowlands and turned it into a great sloppy mess. Low hills with great shady trees dip into deep mud pits and unstable footing. Fresh water and clean grass are a rare commodity unless you have the zeal to find it...and let's face it, most of Acedia's residents are too busy wallowing in comfort to be bothered with proper foraging.

Residing in a gated community of sorts, the greedy herdmembers of Avaritia are eager to keep the riches of their land all to themselves. Rocky hills cover the land, forcing the horses to live in the complex cave system underground. Precious gems glitter in the dark, and gold lines the slow trickling rivers that wind throughout the caverns. Where the caves end and the rivers spill out onto softer land, lush grass grows, zealously guarded. Ever greedy, the horses claim all green space around the rocks as theirs.

Everything is in excess in the lush, dense forest of Gula. Fruit trees are weighted down with food and plenty of other edible plants thrive on the ground. Every living creature seems just a little heavier as a result of the rich foraging: well fed wolves stalk plump deer, massive insects are pecked up by waddling birds, and of course the horses feast on the exotic fruits and plants every night. Just mind the rocks and tree roots that the vegetation hides and abundant eating is guaranteed.
