And thus, the adventure had begun, the newest saga of her life overshadowing the book of old.
The noble Morgan mare did a little quick step as she pranced through the terra that was now hers, her rather small hoof prints vanishing in an instant, thanks to the golden grasses that reached up and tickled her belly. She tossed her graceful crown, her locks fluttering this way and that in the wind.
The terra was now hers - plains of golden grasses far as the eye can see, trees dotting the terrain here and there, providing the necessary shade, with small streams winding here and there, giving crisp, clean water.
Her orbs, which had been spinning around the area, suddenly locked onto an object in the distance - a large, rather shadowy object. Her pillars suddenly swerved, changing their direction, and her banner fluttered after her as she picked up speed, shooting through towards the large shadow.
Slowing down, she finally reached the object and had to stop completely, her dial stretched up.
The shadowy object was an enormous tree, hollow by the looks of it. There were oversized roots at the bottom, providing small spaces in between to shelter in, which stretched out, and then into the ground. Jump's optics shot across the spaces, measuring by how light they were how deeply they extended. At the last one on the right, they narrowed. The space was pitch-black.
Now, why would that be?
Her pins moved her forward, root-ward, and she approached that particular space with caution. Sniffing inside, she picked up a slightly musty smell, accompanied by a trickling sound, which Jump presumed to be water. She entered the hole, expecting to hit a wall, but she didn't meet one. She kept plowing forward steadily, and after several minutes saw a slightly brighter place up ahead. She kept walking and suddenly, going over a little dip, was greeted with an amazing sight.
An underground cave, complete with small pond, pin-point lights coming through the ceiling from what Jump surmised to be mole holes in the terra, and large amounts of crystal met her vision, and her breath hitched in her throat. It was beautiful.
She spotted a slightly sheltered space, a sort of crystal-den, and headed there, deciding that this would be her resting place, the whole cave her den.
Oh, yeah, being queen was nice.
